Aquablasting

Blasting in progress – Hand finished blasting using a fine glass bead

Aquablasting, also known as vapour or wet blasting, is a non-aggressive surface treatment ideal for aluminium components prior to anodising.  The process uses a fine media in clean water to eliminate any production scuffs, light scratches and oil to deliver a fine and even satin finish.  Aquablasting will not remove paint but is a cleaner, safer alternative to standard bead blasting.

Brake callipers – Clean and smooth satin finish with no pitting or damage
Blast cabinet – New British manufactured Aquablast 1215

We can offer this service as the finish to parts machined by Maltside; alternatively we are happy to quote you for the Aquablast finish only.  If you are unsure about the effect on your parts please supply us with a sample component for us to blast and return to you free of charge the next working day.  Please also see the finished components on our Subcontracting page. Our large cabinet can handle parts up to 1.2M.  As well as providing this service to engineering companies we have experience in blasting car and motorcycle restoration parts.  Competitive pricing on request and a fast turnaround is guaranteed.
